Microsoft hat ein optionales Update für Windows 7 mit Service Pack 1 zum Download freigegeben, das Probleme im Windows Servicing Store beheben soll, durch welche die erfolgreiche Installation zukünftiger Updates, Service Packs und Software unter Windows 7 SP1 möglicherweise verhindert wird.
Für den manuellen Download ist eine WGA-Prüfung erforderlich und dieses Update kann nach der Installation nicht mehr entfernt werden.
